Happening weekend on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Academie voor Podiumkunsten Aalst (Academy for Stage Arts) (2009 November 27, 28, 29)
Karel Van Marcke is musical director with the musical theatre 3 x Goud (3 times golden). He has also written the arrangements for the piece. In the musical theatre, the history of the academy is linked to the history of the city of Aalst.
Geike Arnaert (vocals), Mieke Delauré (cello) and Karel Van Marcke (piano) perform at the Klara festival Forza Musica (2008, September 10).
The concerts present musicians from different disciplines to perform songs in the same venue, even though they don’t play together on the stage at the same time.
Other artists performing the same evening are the Spanish opera singer Alica Nafé , latino singer Gabriel Rios and Girls in Hawaii.
Hilde Heijnen and Chroma work together for an exclusive concert at Gentse Feesten (The Ghent Festival). They combine live compositions with poems.
